Basilica San Vitale -- the columns look like petrified wood, but they are marble
National Museum -- these modern sculptures are horses in the courtyard near an old statue -- this is a custom in the area, mixing the new with the old.
Teatro Alighieri, named for the father of the Italian language and the author of The Divine Comedy.

Venice Italy - 17 & 18 September
Just one of the many canals we passed as the Celebrity Silhouette headed out from Venice toward the open Adriatic Sea. Just like these people on the bridge, many stopped to watch us sail by; some waved, and some took photos.

We're still in Venice (not Pisa), and this is NOT trick photography. This bell tower IS leaning.

One of only a small number of parks that we've seen in Venice. We also liked the shape of the trees.

The Bell Tower in St. Mark's Square.
The sun beaming of the top of the Bell Tower in St. Mark's Square.
