Just as Ground Hog Day rolls around again every February 2nd (oh, that's today!), the entrance of February also means that it's time for us to escape the Boise winter and head to the sun-drenched beaches of Los Cabos, Mexico. Sometimes we stay in two or three different places in our four weeks there, but this year we are staying all four weeks at Playa Grande Resort in Cabo San Lucas.
We've been going to Playa Grande each year since 2004, and we love watching the whales as they migrate back to Alaska. The waves of the Pacific Ocean are peaceful to listen to, even though they aren't the safest for swimming. As you can see, the view from our main balcony is quite pleasant. This year, since we are there for four weeks, we will be in a different unit on the opposite, just about at the left edge of the picture. But the good news is that we will be in the same one-bedroom suite for the entire four weeks. That means NO MOVING! Yea. Also, because of the location, we will be watching the sun dip into the ocean each evening when we're not in town. All we have to do is sit on the balcony and watch the sun set. How delightful.
What's on the plan for the four weeks? Not much! I'll be working on another novel, plus I'm meeting with a friend who lives there to discuss a possible 2014 conference there in Cabo. We'll be seeing my brother and his wife as they are there for a week. I 'm taking some paints, brushes, and canvases to do a little on-the-beach painting. Other than that, there's a little reading on the Kindle, visiting our favorite restaurant, and just doing whatever we want to do! Does it get any better than that?
Stay tuned for more from Los Cabos.
